Samsung’s FE series is back after a year, and this time it’s joined by Galaxy Buds.
The Galaxy S23 FE has the specs you’d expect from a “value flagship” smartphone, and has a more reasonable price tag of $599, rather than the $699 that Samsung charged for the S21 FE. The Galaxy Tab S9 FE features robust water and dust resistance and a much more affordable $449 price tag than the pricey standard S9, which starts at $799, but you’ll have to settle for an LCD panel instead of OLED. there is. And the Galaxy Buds FE offers active noise cancellation for $99.
Samsung’s Galaxy S21 FE is the latest phone in the FE series, and its pricing close to the standard S21 didn’t make much sense. The company seems to have recognized this year’s new entry price issue without sacrificing much functionality. It still has a 6.4-inch 120Hz OLED and a full IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. This is something you don’t get if you drop down to a mid-range device in the Galaxy A series.
And there’s one more feature Samsung introduced this year. It’s fun. Remember the fun? S23 FE comes in mint, cream, graphite, and purple. If you order from his Samsung website, you’ll also find indigo and tangerine options.
The S23 FE comes with 8GB of RAM and the previous generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. It was a full generation behind the current 8 Gen 2, and its battery efficiency wasn’t exactly known. On the plus side, you get wireless charging and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera that complements the 50-megapixel main camera and 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera on the phone’s back panel. The Galaxy Buds FE have a design reminiscent of Samsung’s previous Galaxy Buds Plus, and offer up to six hours of playback with active noise cancellation. Like Samsung’s standard Galaxy Buds 2, he’s rated IPX2, so it can withstand some water exposure, but there’s no need to take it out into a thunderstorm or submerge it in water. There’s no wireless charging, and unfortunately you won’t find any fun colors here. Just graphite and white.
The Tab S9 FE comes with a 10.9-inch screen, while the S9 FE Plus comes with a 12.4-inch display. Both are LCDs rather than the standard S9 series’ OLED panels, and have a 90Hz refresh rate instead of 120Hz. Non-FE version. Instead of the regular S9’s Qualcomm processor, the FE tablet uses an Exynos 1380 chipset. However, like their more expensive siblings, both come with an S Pen stylus in the box and offer a full IP68 rating. Available in grey, mint, silver and lavender colors.
Samsung Galaxy S23 FE will be available on October 26th with 128GB storage. The Galaxy Buds FE, Galaxy Tab S9 FE, and S9 FE Plus will be available for purchase from “select carriers” on October 5th and on Samsung’s website from October 10th.
